1. Complete the Application
You will need to provide information about your business, including:

- Registered company details, where applicable
- Trading address
- Company registration number
- VAT number, where applicable
- Director, owner or responsible person details
- Accounts contact information
- Estimated monthly hire requirements
2. Provide Identification
We may request:
- Photographic identification
- Proof of business address
- Proof of personal address for the owner or director
- Company documentation
- Trade references
- Bank or credit information
3. Account Checks
We may complete appropriate checks before approving an account. These may include:
- Companies House checks
- Credit checks
- Trading history checks
- Trade references
- Confirmation of company directors
- Verification of the business address
4. Agree Your Account Terms
Approved customers will be given:
- An agreed credit limit
- Payment terms
- Invoicing arrangements
- A list of authorised hirers
- Account contact details
- Hire and equipment responsibilities
5. Add Authorised Hirers
You can nominate employees or representatives who are permitted to hire or collect equipment on behalf of your business. The account holder remains responsible for all equipment hired using the account.
6. Book Your Equipment
Approved trade customers can request equipment by telephone, email, in person or online enquiry. Please provide:
- Equipment required
- Hire dates
- Collection or delivery details
- Site address
- Purchase order number, where required
- Name of the authorised hirer
7. Receive Your Invoice
Invoices will be issued in line with your agreed account terms. Invoices may include:
- Hire charges
- Delivery and collection
- Fuel and consumables
- Extended hire periods
- Cleaning charges
- Missing accessories
- Equipment damage
- Loss or theft charges
Invoices must be paid within the agreed payment period.
Payment Terms
Payment terms and credit limits are agreed individually following account approval. Depending on the business, account terms may include:
Overdue accounts may be placed on hold until the balance is cleared.
Your Responsibilities
The trade account holder is responsible for:
- Equipment hired through the account
- Ensuring only authorised people place orders
- Returning equipment by the agreed date
- Reporting loss, theft or damage immediately
- Paying invoices within the agreed terms
- Ensuring equipment is used safely and correctly
- Providing accurate site and delivery information
New Trade Customers
You do not need to wait for a trade account before hiring from us. New customers can use our Pay As You Hire service while their trade account application is reviewed.
We may ask new trade customers to complete several successful Pay As You Hire transactions before credit terms are offered.
